The Fox Lane LTN consultion has closed.

Enfield Council was given an undertalking that

the LTN trial will be evaluated based on:

* Residents' views on how the benefits of the project compare against the disbenefits

* Data on the volume of motor vehicle movements in the area

* Data on the speed of motor vehicles in the area

* Impacts on the primary roads surrounding the area

* Bus journey time considerations through discussion with Transport for London

* Outcomes of ongoing dialogue with the emergency services.

"Has not that been caused by the Government's insistence that the schemes be implemented straightaway within an eight-week period, not allowing any consultation with communities or very limited consultation at best?"

Enfield Thinks - so what do you think?

on Monday, 02 March 2015. Posted in N21 Community

EnfieldThinks, London's first pop-up learning shop, is bringing an exciting programme of free educational events to Burleigh Way, Enfield Town, from April 7th-June 27th. From art to animals, business to building and French to floristry, EnfieldThinks has something for everyone.

EnfieldThinks will showcase the very best that Birkbeck, University of London; Barnet & Southgate College; Capel Manor College and The College of Haringey, Enfield & North East London (CoHENEL) have to offer. You could be taking part in a taster English Literature workshop with Birkbeck, University of London; learning about construction with CoHENEL; experiencing floristry with Capel Manor or delving into computerised accounting with Barnet & Southgate.

The project has been funded by a £20,000 High Street Regeneration grant from Mayor of London Boris Johnson and will be run from Burleigh Way, behind Church Street in Enfield and part of the objective is to create awareness of this new parade which is under-utilised. You can read the bid on the May of London Space Hive crowd-sourcing platform here

Boris Johnson said: "The imagination, enterprise and creativity of Londoners has shone through in the array of ideas that were put forward to the High Street Fund.

"London's high streets are no longer about retail alone and I am thrilled to be supporting projects that seek to diversify and unlock opportunities in our most prized urban assets."

There will be a free pop up learning zone

An extensive timetsble of masterclasesand workshops

Topical debates and panel discussions

GCSE and A Level revision workshops,

Providing business support and giving careers advice.
