Everyday our ears are bombarded with noise. The roar of traffic, the banging of building sites and DIY, the wail of sirens, the beat of music from cars, phones and houses. All day, everyday.

Denmark Studios – Bringing Glamour to Grange Park

on Monday, 24 May 2010. Posted in N21 Business Blog

Did you know that the UK’s oldest commercial film lighting specialist is based in Grange Park? Did you know that Jordan, Rod Stewart, Rolf Harris, Iron Maiden and many other celebs have been visitors to Grange Park?

Why? Not just because it is a nice place but it is also the home of Denmark Studios and its associate company Location Lighting. The business has been located at its rather anonymous studio in The Grangeway, for over twenty five years.

Denmark Studios is a family run film production and lighting business, run by the Brennan family and it is a glamorous, state-of-the-art film making hub; providing facilities, lighting equipment and skilled technicians for productions ranging from pop videos, film & TV ads, TV series, including Top Gear and other programmes for the BBC.

Location Lighting provides large location lighting facilities for major blockbusters; which entails decamping large lorry loads of lighting equipment to locations all over the UK, sometimes for several weeks at a time.

Mark Brennan, Denmark Studio’s owner, thinks that its location in Grange Park is a plus point for his business, as it is quiet and calm “to nurture creative talents”.

So when you are shopping in the Grangeway or on the way to the station, keep an eye out for who might be visiting Denmark Studios!
