The Winchmore

We are brother and sister Mark and Eimear Walsh and we would like to welcome you The Winchmore, which we opened in June 2015.

Come and look around

We have endeavoured to create a traditional English gastro pub, with a contemporary twist; offering drinks and food menus which our customers will appreciate. It has been an exciting first year, getting to know our customers and what they would like The Winchmore to provide.  Our mission continues to be to run a pub which is a community hub buzzing with activity; a local pub where you can have a dinner with friends & family; a gathering of work colleagues or simply pop in by yourself and find a friendly face.

We host regular events at The Winchmore, including live music, wine & spirit tastings, quizzes, details of which can be found on our website and Facebook.

The Winchmore hosts a wide range of activities, including a book club, boxing and yoga classes, networking groups and a children's activities.

Check out what is happening on The Winchmore timetable.

Our food

We are a gastro pub, offering a full menu throughout the day for the whole family, although you won't find a children's menu at The Winchmore, we serve smaller portions and we know that most children are going to love our freshly prepared stone baked pizzas. All our food is made from scratch in our kitchen by an experienced team of chefs. Our menus vary through the seasons and all our meat, vegetables and cheese are sourced locally.

Meet Tim De La Cruz, our new Head Chef. Tim was a former contestant in Masterchef The Professional 2015.

He was originally from the Philippines and has worked as Head Chef for the renowned Jason Atherton.

He is looking forward to introducing a lot of Filipino flavour and flair to their menu.

Here is a small selection of our tempting dishes

On Mondays and Tuesdays we serve our evening menu from 5pm – Every other day we serve food from 12am to 10pm.

Our Sunday Roast is NOT to be Missed!

If you don't fancy dining with us we have take-away pizza & wine available.

Also included in their menu is a great selection of handmade pizzas. Their Italian chef prepares the dough on site and the pizzas are then cooked in their stone oven

We are often fully booked at weekends, over public holidays and special treat days like Mother's Day, so please reserve a table early.

 Our drinks

No English pub would be complete without a carefully selected and well kept cellar. We will bring you your favourite tipples but also tease you into trying something new!

Why not join our Gin Society?

Perceptions have shifted and' Mothers Ruin' is no more! Join us in the revolution of Gin and indulge your taste buds with new exotic gins or simply keep it classical. Our quest is to gather like minded people and to turn every great occasion into something a little more discerning

Looking for a room to hire? We have a private function suite upstairs which hosts a wide range of parties and business events.

More details about room hire can be found on our website

We all look forward to welcoming you to The Winchmore. Sign up for our newsletter to stay in touch.

Congratulations to Eimear and Mark tonight as they invited the local residents to have a drink with them in their new pub. I was priviledged to be a part of that and can honestly say that we were made to feel very welcome. With the complimentary drinks and Canopes they pulled out all the stops. I am genuinely excited for the Walsh's as they start this wonderful adventure. I wish you all the sucess!

I've been several times with friends and family and I was impressed with everyone's hospitality. You really feel like home! Child friendly with a children' corner full of toys! The pizzas are fab with a variety of options. I've tried also the crispy belly pork sandwich and I was really impressed! Prices very reasonable.
