The Ruth Winston Centre

The Ruth Winston Centre is a registered Charity whose mission is to promote independence, well-being and activities for the over 50s in Enfield.  The Centre has over 1000 members and offers over 70 classes and activities every week.

On our website you will find a complete list of our classes, ranging from Belly dancing, bridge and computer classes, through to dressmaking, English country dancing, Spanish conversation, Pilates and Tai CHi and a whole lot more - something for everyone.

We also hire out our rooms to outside lets.

Ruth Winston offers our members a range of health management services, including a Health Trainer, Blood Pressure Checks, Flu Jabs, Chiropody, Stress Management Classes.

The Centre is run by two staff, Manager Yvonne Quigley and a Centre Organiser, Jean Waller but also relies on the help of a loyal band of volunteers, supported by a Board of eight Trustees, who are responsible for the running and developing the Centre.

For those who otherwise would spend their days at home alone it is a vitally important resource for the over 50s in this borough. New members are always welcome, as well as people who can spare some time to help with older people, so please get in touch.

The Ruth Winston Centre is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.45pm.
