The Alzheimer's Society (Enfield)
The Alzheimer's Society offers specialist services for people affected by dementia.
In Enfield our Dementia Support Worker Remi Oki is available to give information, advice and guidance, this includes signposting to other local support services. Remi is available for face to face meetings at in people's homes or other venues as convenient she also oversees the Carer's Support Group that meets twice monthly at the Lancaster Centre which is an opportunity for anyone caring for someone with dementia to talk about their experiences with others in a similar situation.
Remi is also available at the Dementia café that runs weekly on a Friday (except the last Friday of the month) at the St Peter's Church, Grange Park, N21 1RJ, our café provides the opportunity for anyone who has dementia or cares for someone with dementia to take part in activities or simply have a cup of tea and a chat.
Additionally we hold Singing for the Brain sessions, these are 12 weekly terms were people living with dementia can attend to experience the therapeutic benefits of music to help improve wellbeing and confidence.
