Stitch! is a community enterprise launched in May 2019 to provide a creative hub
for people of all ages which love knitting, sewing and crafting.
The concept was born after the sad closure of Rodwins in Southgate, the go to shop for
the sewing community of North London. It is a joint venture between Suzanne Kelly, Carol Balfe
and Karen Mautner, who have pooled their resources and complementary skills to open Stitch!
We are currently operating as a pop up shop and workshop, at 397 Green Lanes in Palmers Green,
formerly Grouts, the haberdashers, which is a beautiful ceative space!
We offer classes and workshops for people of all ages in a wide range of creative pursuits; sell a range of craft and sewing materials
and stock a range of gifts and other merchandise, often produced by small craft makers.
Take a look around Stitch!
We offer short and more extended courses to help people to learn basic sewing and making skills,
as well as longer and more advanced courses, where we help people make garments and home accessories
and hone their skills.
Details of upcoming courses, including those for children on Saturdays and during the school holidays
can be found on our website
We are delighted that people of all ages are joining in our craft and sewing classes, here in our shop and workshop.
Is it time to unlock your creative talents?
You will find that joining our classes is a great way to destress, to learn absorbing new skills and make new friends!
We love to see people taking such pride in their Stitch! creations
We stock sewing and crafting materials, and our range will grow as our business grows; as well as unusual gift ideas that you won't readily find on the high street
