St Monica's Players

St Monica's Players

Saint Monica's Players is a north London theatre company based in Palmers Green who have been producing musicals, pantomines and plays since 1958, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2008.

The not-for-profit group has a year round performance schedule, producing a pantomine every January at the Intimate Theatre in Palmers Green and a musical production in June at the Millfield Theatre in Edmonton, as well as many social events, including our annual holiday, golf days and nights out.

SMP have become well known for tackling different or challenging summer productions like Much Ado Ron Ron and Westside Story. The group is lucky enough to boast a young membership, with nearly 50 per cent males, both unusual in amateur theatre!  Past SMP members have included the BBC reporter Brian Hanrahan and Jo Collins OBE, co-founder of Chicken Shed.

Details of our productions, photos and a whole lot more can be found on our website and the SMP Facebook group.
