My name is Anthony and I would like to introduce you to Lishi, the traditional Chinese fitness regime, based on tai chi, kung fu, meditation and wu shu disciples.

 

I teach classes St Johns Church Hall, on Bourne Hill on Sundays.

 

Lishi Tai Chi originates from a small fishing village in China called Weihai and has been shown to improve suppleness, strength and lung capacity whilst enhancing mobility of the joints and general health and wellbeing. Movements are slow and continuously flowing combined with deep synchronised breathing while focusing on the alignment of the body. Exercises are low impact yet can be high intensity. Lishi Tai Chi is suitable for everybody as the intensity of each exercise can be varied to suit all abilities.

 

Tai Chi is based on Daoist philosophy and has been practiced for centuries, the fact it's still here today is for one reason only and that's because it works to improve wellbeing and quality of life. The movements you see demonstrated by the students below, teach you to use the body's own natural energies, to restore balance and give you control over your body and mind. The regular practice of tai chi is relaxing and energising at the same time, which come with a wide range of intrinsic benefits. It's best to attend a class and experience for yourself how Lishi Tai Chi can personally benefit you. When you attend a class the focus is on you and how the session can develop each student on a personal level.

 

I have been training in Lishi Tai Chi for over 12 years and coaching for the last 7 years. Whilst I am highly experienced I am still a student and attend regular teacher training sessions in order to develop my personal practice and coaching skills.

Tai Chi practice is governed by Lishi International, is endorsed by Sport Englad and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Private tuition is available or group bookings for businesses. Lishi is currently being taught in local schools and is ideal for those with high pressure jobs in need of relaxation and stress management

 

Cost £7.50 per class. Enjoy complimentary green tea after the session and a chance to socialise with other class members and instructors.
