                          Home Care Preferred, based in Station Road, Winchmore Hill, provides care and

                           support in people's homes as well as the sale of independent living equipment.

                           The company was set up in 2011 by Ken Waterhouse, who has over 30 years'

                           experience in the care profession, working with a number of award winning care

                           organisations, providing the highest standard of service.

                           Home Care Preferred has also won a number of awards; including

                           Best Domiciliary Care Agency in 2016 and finalists in 2017 and 2018.

Home Care Preferred regularly provides hourly companionship, home help and personal care to clients and their relatives in their own homes, as well as people who are terminally ill and those with life limiting medical conditions who need varying degrees of extra support; ranging from night care to 24 hour live-in support. Each of our clients has a tailored care plan, based on how they wish to use our services. This may be daily, twice daily, live-in care or occasional support, such as when families and other carers are on holiday.

Our shop supplies an extensive range of living aids, designed to help people to retain their independence, increasing their comfort and reducing the risks of falls, burns and other dangers within the home. We stock hundreds of products to support people with a range of age related and chronic conditions, as well as thousands more in our catalogue. We can advise you on which products may be of most benefit for people suffering from mobility, sight and other problems.


Home Care Preferred has a strong management team who work closely with the Support Assistants ensuring a high level of support is provided to our clients. All team members are fully trained and receive on-going training to ensure they are kept up to date with health and social care policies and procedures. Additionally, all team members are DBS checked. Home Care Preferred are also registered and regulated by Care Quality Commission (CQC) and currently have a 'good' rating and are striving to become 'outstanding'.





Home Care Preferred is actively involved in the local community, supporting local charities, organising fund-raising events and supporting businesses, schools and other organisations in our local area.

Home Care Preferred opened a second branch in Barnet during August 2018 meaning support can also be provided in a wider location including Finchley, Whetstone and of course all areas of Barnet.

    We're so pleased with how well our mother is responding to having more support. She is more alert and eating and drinking more during the day. We want to keep her in her own home, its where she wants to be. Many thanks

    The management of hcp iam so pleased with the organising committee that provides the services to the community as when happen to go to a client they always notice the services and are appriciative and this is because of the continuity of the knowledge that you provide to the carers so I urge all those that are looking for support for their families look no further but to the one and only company hcp

    Thoroughly enjoying being a part of the HCP care giving team. Such a warm place to work and the experiences I have encountered, I'm sure will be lifelong! I can only say that if you're looking for long term care for a relative who wants to remain in their own home, then HCP should be at the top of your list!

    I have to say that HCP is a brilliant team! We have team members showing continuous dedication, providing immediate responds to those who are in need and sharing their previous time not only with their family but also with our clients. I am definitely proud to be part of HCP.
