Grange Park Methodist Church (The |Church In The Orchard)

Grange Park Methodist Church, also known locally as The Church in the Orchard , is part of the Enfield circuit of Methodist churches. Our mission statement at The Church in the Orchard is "To Know God and Make Him Known". The church was built in the 1920s, as part of the development for the first time of the land between Winchmore Hill and Grange Park, known as Pike’s Fields.

The Church in the Orchard name has been attributed to a local journalist, reporting the opening of the church, as having been built literally in the middle of an orchard. The original church is still stands on the site, whilst the current church, which has striking art deco features, opened in 1938.

The Minister is Louise Morrissey. The Church in The Orchard plays a prominent part of the local community. In addition to services of worship and regular concerts, the church halls are used throughout the week for a wide variety of activities; including playgroups, guides and other uniformed groups; and many education and sports classes.
