Enfield Wildlife Rescue

The Enfield Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) is based in Trent Park and is dedicated to helping sick and injured wild animals and birds in North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.

WRAS was sent up in the 1980s by Barry and June Smitherman, who have both been awarded the M.B.E. for their dedication and hard work. Barry and June continue to run the Rescue Centre with their daughter Diane.

WRAS has been based in Trent Park since 1999 and the centre enables visitors to get close to the resident wildlife and to understand the problems that wild animals and birds face in our modern society and also to educate people as to how we can help to protect our wild creatures from harm such as poison and injury.

We are a charity and rely on volunteers and continuous fundraising to keep the centre open and treat animals in need. We have an adoption scheme to raise funds - you might like to consider 'adopting' one of our resident animals. Please visit our website to find out more about what we do and come and visit us in Trent Park.

If you need help or advice on the care of wildlife please phone us on 0208 344 2785 or 07970 141282.

Important: Please telephone us before bringing casualties to us.
