Enfield Vision is a registered charity, run by a group of visually impaired people, with the specific aim of promoting the wellbeing of visually impaired people living in Enfield and to reduce the everyday problems of blind and partially sighted people.
We hold free Braille lessons each Friday morning at our Ponders End office and provide information for the visually impaired on how to register as blind or partially sighted; benefit entitlements, low vision aids and accessing large print publications and tapes.
We organise regular activities for the visually impaired, including a weekly bowls matches each Thursday afternoon in association with the Enfield Visually Impaired Bowls Club; as well as trips to the theatre and other places of interest.
We have a full programme of fund raising events throughout the year and welcome donations, no matter how small, to help run our activities for visually impaired people.
Our office is open to visitors between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon, Monday to Friday (appointment preferred)
