ELODS (short for Enfield Light Opera and Dramatic Society) are a friendly musical theatre company based in Winchmore Hill for the past sixty years, celebrating our Diamond Jubilee this year.

We rehearse at the United Reformed Church in Compton Road and The Methodist Church in Green Lanes (Tuesdays and Fridays) and stage two musicals per year at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar.

ELODS recent productions have included How To Succeed, Oklahoma!, Jesus Christ Superstar and 42nd Street) received fantastic reviews!

Over the years we have won many awards, most recently a NODA London Flame Award 2012 for "inspirational contribution to the pursuit of excellence in theatre"

Our Autumn 2013 production is Andrew Lloyd Weber's Whistle Down the Wind, being performed at the Wyllyotts Theatre from October 22nd – October 26t, with a cast of 30 children aged 7 – 17 and 30 adults – a big cast. Details of all our current productions can be found on our website and our performance dates can also be found on n21online.com

A huge amount of work goes into these productions but they are also a lot of fun. ELDOS members enjoy the challenge of a big production, working as a team with people of all ages and the buzz of opening night.

We are keen to recruit new members, we are a friendly bunch who help each other so don't be shy. Whether your ambitions are to play leading parts or just to sing in the chorus, we always need new faces - so come along to one of our rehearsals or meet us in the pub to get a feel for who we are and what we do.

We also really need people to help behind the scenes with costumes, set building, front of house and backstage for each show - these roles are perhaps more important than performing for the company. If you could be interested in joining or would like to find out more about ELDOS please contact Mark Shaw, Chairman on 07711 316 474 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
