I am Sonya Meagor, the founder of eco cuisine. I run an award winning catering company based in Palmers Green. I cater for corporate and social occasions, including weddings, christenings, birthdays and funerals. This is me preparing a lovely fresh salmon, whilst Chef Nessa gets to do the fun jobs!
What do I mean by eco cuisine? I provide my clients with great tasting food, made with high quality ingredients, which have been grown locally, using sustainable farming methods or traded fairly. The ingredients are the stars in my dishes.
I have built my catering business on the principles that I believe in and I am excited by the urban growing revolution. I hail from Cornwall, (you can still tell from my accent), where my family had easy access to fresh produce from the land and the sea. Just because you live in a big city doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to have access to food that sustains you as well as our environment.
* Using organic, free-range or traditionally reared produce from sustainable farming methods
* Using wild, organic, sustainable fish and seafood
* Using British produce whenever possible to avoid food miles
* Using seasonal products for great taste
* Not using GM food items
* Considering the re-use and/or recycling of the items we use for each event
* eco cuisine is now carbon neutral, offsetting mlieage and power used in the sourcing and production of food.

I was delighted to have won the 2012/13 best caterers at the RSPCA Good Business awards, (Catering category), in recognition of our ethical sourcing policy. We are the caterer of choice for a growing number of charities; provide catering for visitors to the Millfield Theatre; as well as for scores of parties, weddings and other social gatherings in the local area.

I am a passionate person who wants to share my love of food and the idea that it is important to know the source of where our food comes from and the responsibility we have in respecting our environment. I aim to give each client a personal, friendly service and provide you with really tasty food.
