My name is Chris Hall. I have been teaching Maths for 22 years, 13 as a full-time teacher and 9 as a full-time tutor.
I teach Year 7 to Year 13. I have been teaching A level for 22 years and teach Pure, Statistics and Mechanics. Do your children need help to stay up to date with the curriculum in these difficult times?
Since the pupils have been sent home from school, teachers have tried their best to continue teaching online, but obviously, this is very difficult when they have so many children to teach and the online experience is not nearly as effective as being in the same classroom. There is a real worry that pupils could fall behind, especially those in the important years like Year 10 and 12. I can ensure that your child keeps up with the curriculum and doesn't forget the things they've already learnt.
I have switched all my tutoring online.
I use a visualiser so the pupil can see my work
and I provide pupils with a special camera so I can see their work.
This is proving very effective.
I did my degree in Maths at Sheffield University and trained to be a teacher at Warwick University. I worked at Latymer School before moving abroad to Egypt to work at an international school. When I returned I worked at Fortismere school in Muswell Hill.
I take a traditional approach to teaching, with lots of practice and revision. This has led to many students of all abilities making great progress in their confidence and results.
I charge £25 per hour and have slots available 7 days a week.
