Treacey's Toystore opens its doors

Treacey Brennan opened her new toy shop in Winchmore Hill on Green Lanes this week, giving an empty shop a new lease of life, next to Zoey's Rhoobarb, to create a children and parent's treasure trove.

Treacey's Toystore is the most amazing traditional children's toyshop, full of quality toys, books, arts & crafts, games, baby gifts, teaching aides and lots, lots more for children of all ages (including big boy's toys). The first thing you notice when entering this Aladdin's Cave is the preponderance of wood, with barely any plastic to be seen, or batteries required. Treacy has taken immense care in sourcing her stock, mainly from small suppliers with very few big names inevidence, to create a unique range not matched on any high street.

Her wooded toys, from dolls houses, rocking horses, to train sets and games are all made from sustainably sourced wood, with a number of Fair Trade items in the range.

The shop will take you back to your own childhood, to a simpler, pre-digital age. These pictures don't do the shop justice, but will hopefully tempt you in. With half term soon approaching there are lots of activities to keep the little darlings happy, should the weather be poor and this is the first place you should start looking with Christmas just around the corner.

Treacey should do well, but help get her business off to a good start by paying her a visit - you won't leave empty handed - I can vouch for that!
