If you haven't already submited an application to close your road for a street party for the Jubilee Weeekend celebrations for June 3rd/4th, it is now too late. However, if you live in a cul de sac you don't need to apply for a temporary road closure so still a couple of weeks to organise the neighbours.

Enfield Council is making small grant available for street parties in the borough right up to October. Use this link to download an application form. So far The Chine, Colne Road, Seaforth Gardens have applied, as well as residents planng to hold an event in The Orchard.

Tickets for The Grange Park Residents Association Pary can be bought from Atkinsons The Chemist, Kitten and Mortmore Mackay, priced at £5 or £10 for a family of four.

There are no shortage of barbecue experts living in the street

The nice thing about The Big Lunch is that people of all ages join in, there aren't many local events where that happens

Drayton Gardens was a smaller event, mainly comprising young families, with face painting, hop scotch and craft activities to keep the children amused.
