Did you know that there are around 4.7 million small businesses in the UK and they contribute more than 50% of UK turnover - they are very important to our economy.

Each year around 500,000 new small businesses are created, around 20 new businesses are set up in N21 every month.

Small businesses have been badly hit by the recession and restricted access to credit.

If you are a small business, it isn’t a case of waiting for when ‘we get back to normal’, the future isn’t going to be a continuation of the past. Economic and environmental circumstances are re-shaping the world in which we do business. We have to reshape our businesses for the 'new normal'.

The current difficult economic climate makes it even more important for local businesses to evaluate how they do business AND market their goods and services.

Every business should be marketing to its customers through multiple channels

Every business should be thinking about how it should be moving the business on

Every business should be thinking about business alliances and collaboration
